I learned about one of the sickest things I've heard of corporate America doing. They take out life insurance on their employees betting that they are going to die. Within corporate America, this type of policy is known as Dead Peasant Insurance.

It's illegal to for me take out fire insurance on your house because there is a profit motive in it for me to see your house burn down. Yet it is not illegal for corporations to take out a life insurance policy on their employees. It's pretty sad to think that there is a "dead employee" profit line on the balance sheet.

The officials for the WOrld Cup must have gotten their training from the NBA. These guys make the worst calls at the worst possible moments. Just like their NBA brethern they see things that aren't their or conviently don't see things when they don't want. The bad officiating almost cost the USA a trip to the knock out round.

Here's hoping that the officiating gets better in the knock out round.

The people in the Tea Party are a pathetic joke. They claim to be for a balanced budget, protection of the Constitution and wanting the government out of our lives. Yet these very same people watched the Dubya and his gang take a balanced budget and a budget surplus and turn it into a record deficit. Where were the cries for a balanced budget then? You also had Dubya and the gang try their best to gut the Constitution and yet you never heard from these people. The Tea Party says they want the government out of our lives, yet they want to government to step in and keep women from having an abortion. I guess having the gonerment in your life is OK if the Tea Party wants to control that aspect of your life.

The people of the Tea Party can go take a flying leap. You are all a bunch of hypocrits.

I will thank you though for tearing about the Republican party. You are pretty much assuring that Democrats will remain in control because you have left no room for moderates in the Republican party.
